Purpose and Scope

Gatestone’s Diversity/Equal Opportunity Program (EOP) was created to identify, recruit and hire visible minorities, persons with disabilities and women in Canada. The EOP establishes that visible minorities, persons with disabilities and women etc. have an equal opportunity for any position within Gatestone.

The EOP is reflective of the diverse community it serves. The EOP has been established to enhance relationships with the diverse communities in Canada and to attract and retain qualified diverse candidates to Gatestone. Gatestone provides a work force that is representative of the community and a work force that is supportive and inclusive for all of its employees. As thoroughly detailed in our Diversity Policy the company expressly prohibits any form of unlawful employee harassment based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, family status, genetic characteristics, disability, and conviction for an offence for which a pardon has been granted or in respect of which a record suspension has been ordered or any other legally protected characteristic. Improper interference with the ability of employees to perform their expected job duties is absolutely not tolerated.

Intent
